This time of year, most of us are wrapped up getting things sorted for Christmas and if we get a spare few minutes in between the mayhem we can often find ourselves reflecting on the year so far; our achievements, failures, good moments and bad. Maybe there might be the odd few who start sowing the seeds for the dreaded New Year’s Resolutions.
From a business perspective, it is wise to look ahead; a company needs business plans and marketing strategies to push it forward and aim higher to reach targets. I also think it is important to look back and reflect on what has been achieved already. What’s happening now is laying the foundations for the future of the company. It is a retrospective look at what worked, what didn’t work and using this analysis to make the company stronger through knowledge. Business intelligence, as they call it.
