The Mayor’s Ball
On Friday 20th March last, MakinMediaMobile attended the Mayor’s Ball which was a gala event hosted to raise money for One In a Million (OIM), a branch of the Athlone Community Task Force in conjunction with Westmeath Community Development.
The Mayor’s ball was held in the Sheraton Hotel and commenced with a champagne reception on arrival for the 200+ attendees which included the current mayor of Athlone, Mr Frankie Keena. A 3-course meal, followed by an auction and then live music, made for a truly enjoyable night.
As well as featuring many of the main businesses and attractions of Athlone in a live action format, we incorporated a little bit of animation into the video which can be viewed below.
What is OIM?
The aim of OIM is to assist local SME’s to develop their business. The driving force behind this is due to numerous successful, local, business people providing expert mentoring and advisory services for start up businesses. They also promote employment within businesses in the Athlone region.
