Animation Intern

Michael is a 3rd year Game Design Student in GMIT. He has an Interest making games with an immersive
story, Interesting Characters, and wondrous open worlds. Right now, he is learning to be more adept in
3D modelling and getting an insight into concept art and animation.

Max is currently in his 3rd year of a Games and Animation course in GMIT. During this time he has developed skills in 2D digital illustration, storytelling and game development. His passion lies in 3D modeling.

Patricia is a a third year Games Development student in Dundalk Institute of Technology. She is interested in concept art & design as well as coming up with ideas and finding out how to implement them. Patricia is also passionate about video games, drawing and expressing her creativity in any way possible.

Ciaran is a third year Games Development student in Dundalk Institute of Technology. He has wanted to tell stories from a young age. Ciaran aspires to tell original stories through games, and sees them as a perfect interactive storytelling device.

Our Journey to date

2013
Founders Geoff Allen and Dermot Condron established MakinMediaMobile where we started working with 2D animation and creating explainer videos for local
businesses.
2014
We won our first tender with Invest NI, and worked with several high-profile companies including Deloitte and Tiger Stores.
2015
Deloitte Invest India Special aired on Sky TV. We worked with Westmeath County Council and were awarded the tender to produce 65 videos for Taste Leitrim in 4 weeks.
2016
Westmeath Enterprise Award finalists. Our joint
venture with Tr3Dent wins award for data visualisation solution. We completed projects for UCD, UCC, NUIM and AIT colleges.
2017
Produced animated TV spot ads for Hygeia. Worked with Combilift to produce augmented reality animation for exhibits. Listed in Top 100 Startups list, Sunday Times Magazine. Commissioned to produce high end 360° virtual reality.
2018
Produced virtual reality application for Camfil. Launched Mersus VR, and changed the company name to Mersus Technologies. Westmeath Enterprise Award Finalist. Irish Times Innovation Award finalist. We moved from our countryside location to a large office in Athlone town, and grew the team.
2019
Globalising the company, setting up additional production in Tenerife, Spain.
